& it's official!

Monday morning found us heading

out to several appointments! Here we

are in front of the Civil Affairs office

in Fuzhou. We just signed all the

paperwork {& thumbprinted ;)} that

officially makes him our son!

May HIS name be praised!

Our guide also took us to the

Sam's Club here to get a few things...

It is quite unlike ours in the States!:)

Our hotel is beside a lake &

we have been taking late afternoon walks

on the boardwalk around it!

It is perfect weather here &

today was the Lantern Festival here &

these Red Lanterns were hanging everywhere.

Along with lots of other colorful decor.

The Lantern Festival wraps up the

Chinese New Year Holiday.

Because of this it ALSO sounds like we are in the

middle of a war zone here :)

& now the BEST news of the day!
I think we have turned a corner!
Late this afternoon little a.
started smiling @ us & before long
was acting silly!
After 3 days of him acting lethargic
 {except for the plane ride ;) of course!}
His little heart was/is grieving but yet
he has decided to try to trust someone yet again :/.

His beautiful smile & sweet giggle
did wonders for his daddy & mommy!
Like sunshine bursting through a cloudy day...
