the wedding story...part 1

Here is the wedding...
in a few snapshots...

{a corner of the mantle}

the venue was a boy scout camp...
{lesson #1...think about how many guests,
ceremony/ reception layout & the "look" you want...
before renting bulding!}
In this case it worked out fine..
there was lots of windows & doorways to work around..
{& some of the guest could not see the ceremony real great!}
but the building had a "rustic"lodge feel to it...

 {excuse the rolled rug & tape- obviously this was reheasal!}
This is the backdrop that my talented husband made...
the pillars are painted to look like stone...

the guest register...
{obviously @ rehearsal too...notice the slippers!}

vintage spools are from Anthropologie...
 {love that place!:)}

{martha stewart recipe box}
I happened upon an old recipe box here
filled with 2 sets of the original cards...
guest were asked to take one & write down
their names & a thought, memory or advice for the newlyweds...
{fun idea...but not all guest participated :(so we don't know exactly who was there!}

flowers were done by a friend of the bride...
love them...

keep peeking for part 2....
{& if you are snowed in like we are, here in the midwest...enjoy your leisurely day :)}

--He giveth snow like wool, He scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes...
Psalm 147: 16
