a little boy tie...

For our family pictures I wanted to dress up the little boys
pants & vests & pull all of our outfits together...
So I started looking for ties to buy.
I might have found some -
if I didn't already have what I wanted pictured in my mind!:)
& although I am really not a seamstress...
the idea of mr.t & little a having cute ties was enough
inspiration for me to search Pinterest for a pattern/tutorial.



of course I found several but ended up using this one!
It was really easy
{it took me less then an hour to make 2!}

I made little a.'s tie a little smaller
{just overlapping the pattern in the center more!}
The only thing I would do different is...
I used elastic for ease of putting them on & next
time I would definitely do velcro instead.
{It is hard to get them big enough to go over their heads
yet small enough to fit the shirt collar nicely w/ elastic.}
